This paper studies the compact representation of speech signals captured by spherical microphone arrays using a polynomial EVD (PEVD) and spherical harmonic transform (SHT). This work then proposes a framework to combine SHT and PEVD, which can exploit the benefits of both transforms while benefitting applications like blind speech enhancement and informed source separation.
